Getting started

What is Vooth?

Vooth monitors your connected messaging platforms — Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SMS, and phone calls — and sends you an alert the moment a VIP contact reaches out. If you don't respond, it follows up by text or phone call until you do.

How do I create an account?

Go to vooth.com/register to create your account. You'll need a valid email address and a payment method to start your 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends.

What do I do first after signing up?

The app will walk you through three steps: connect your platforms, add your VIP contacts, and (on the Phone tier) set up your Vooth phone number. You'll start receiving alerts as soon as a platform is connected and you have at least one VIP.

Connecting platforms

Which platforms does Vooth support?

Vooth currently monitors Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and SMS. Additional platforms are in development.

How does Vooth connect to Gmail?

Vooth uses Google OAuth to request read-only access to your Gmail metadata (sender, subject, and a short preview). We do not read the full body of emails. Tap "Connect Gmail" in the app and sign in with your Google account. You can disconnect at any time from the Platforms screen.

How does Vooth connect to Outlook?

Vooth uses Microsoft OAuth to request read-only access to your Outlook inbox and, if you also use Microsoft Teams, your Teams messages. Connecting Outlook will also connect Teams automatically if your Microsoft account has access to Teams.

How does Vooth connect to Slack?

Vooth uses Slack OAuth to read direct messages sent to you. It does not read public channels or private channels you're a member of — only DMs. When you connect Slack, Vooth imports your 20 most recent DM conversations so your inbox is populated right away.

Can I disconnect a platform?

Yes. Go to the Platforms screen in the app, tap the connected platform, and tap Disconnect. This immediately revokes Vooth's access and deletes the stored credentials. You won't receive alerts from that platform until you reconnect it.

VIP contacts

What is a VIP contact?

A VIP is any contact whose messages you never want to miss. When someone on your VIP list sends you a message on any connected platform, Vooth sends you an alert immediately.

How do I add a VIP?

Open the Contacts screen in the app and tap the + button. Enter the contact's name and email address. Vooth will watch for messages from that address across all connected platforms.

Is there a limit on how many VIPs I can add?

No. All plans include unlimited VIP contacts.

What are keywords?

Keywords are words or phrases that trigger an alert regardless of who sent the message. For example, you might add "urgent" or "wire transfer" as keywords so that any message containing those words gets flagged — even from someone not on your VIP list. You can manage keywords from Settings.

Alerts and follow-up

How are alerts delivered?

Vooth sends a push notification to your phone the moment a VIP message is detected. If you don't acknowledge it within a set time, Vooth follows up — by SMS to your mobile number, by phone call, or both, depending on your settings.

What is a "follow-up" and how does it work?

If you don't open the app and acknowledge an alert, Vooth will follow up according to your escalation settings. You can choose to receive an SMS, a phone call, or both, and set how long to wait before each step. This requires the Professional + Phone plan.

How do I acknowledge an alert?

Open the alert in the app and tap Acknowledge, or reply to the VIP from your native email or messaging app — Vooth will detect your reply and mark the alert as acknowledged automatically.

Does Vooth send messages or reply on my behalf?

No. Vooth is read-only on all platforms. It never sends messages, posts content, or takes any action in your accounts.

Phone tier

What does the Phone tier add?

The Professional + Phone plan gives you a dedicated Vooth phone number for inbound calls and SMS, SMS follow-ups to your mobile number when you have unacknowledged alerts, and phone call escalations as a final follow-up step. The plan includes 1,000 minutes and 1,000 SMS per month. Overages are $0.05/min and $0.02/SMS.

Are phone calls recorded?

Inbound calls to your Vooth number may be recorded for the purpose of generating an alert summary. Callers are notified via an automated message at the start of each call. Call recordings are retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted.

Billing and trial

How does the free trial work?

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start. You will not be charged until the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged anything.

What are the plan prices?

Professional is $19/month or $190/year. Professional + Phone is $39/month or $390/year. The annual plans include two months free. See the pricing page for full details.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time from the app under Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.

How do I update my payment method or view invoices?

Go to Settings → Billing in the app and tap "Manage subscription." This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can update your card, view past invoices, and change your plan.

Account and data

How do I delete my account?

Email support@vooth.com with a deletion request. All of your data — connections, VIP contacts, alerts, OAuth tokens, and any stored messages — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

How long does Vooth store my messages?

Message metadata (sender, subject, snippet) is retained for 90 days. Full message content (Slack, Teams, SMS) is retained for 90 days. Alert history is kept for 12 months. See the Privacy Policy for complete retention details.
